Summer Days 🌼 New illustration 🌼 Preview + Process (Patreon)

Hello Patrons,

It's been a while, here's anew illustration I did last week 🌞

I wanted to draw my idea of the perfect summer day : in the woods with my dog, reading books and listening to music !

It also has this Wes Anderson-esque feel that I really like ! I'm sure she's listening to this song while reading ♫♪

Here's the process :

As usual - I sketch a fist draft on my iPad, print it out and trace it on watercolor paper.

I outline the important parts that I don't want to lose when painting over the sketch with gouache because gouache is very opaque.

I use the color palette I picked on Procreate to guide me, and help me recreate the colors with paint ✨

First painting session - this is what it looks like after 2 hours of painting.

Session 2

And here's the final illustration :

And of course the palette !

I liked painting this cute scene. It kind of feels like home to me !

I hope you'll like it too 🥰

Thank you again very much for your support on Patreon !! Happy Sunday 🌸

Hugs,

Sibylline
