Hello Patrons,

First of all - thanks for the feedback yesterday ! I wrote down what you wanted to see more of on my Patreon page this morning and I'm super motivated + inspired !

Yesterday I painted these little illustrations for the Power in Number 7 show at the  Nucleus Portland gallery. They usually have a bunch of artists participating in this event (maybe 50 ?) and the postcard sized paintings (5"x7") are usually $75 - $100.

The show will open on October 1st and these two little painting I did will be available for sale online and at the gallery !

The first illustration is inspired by this painting by Van Gogh called "Iris" :

I sketched the initial sketches on Procreate, printed them out and traced them on watercolor paper with my light table

Here's the first painting finished - it's been a while since I've used ultramarine blue ! I really like this color and should definitely use it more

This one turned nice ! I thought I would try to make a painting that's a bit messier than usual. I wanted it to feel like a mini painting rather than a clean illustration - I wanted to add that nice paint texture to the flower and the dress.

I sketched the second one based on the iris illustration. I kept the same design and theme and replaced the iris by a daffodil :

Which one is your favorite ?? Mine is the iris probably because I started with this one and kind of was figuring out what I was doing while painting. Also I really like this shade of blue !!

Hope you like it ! 💙🧡✨

Thanks again for your support on Patreon !! 🥰🌹🌸

Hugs,

Sibylline
