Angels ✨ New illustration Process (Patreon)

Hello Patrons ! 💕

I was supposed to post this on Monday but Patreon wasn't working for some reason 😤 

Here's this week's illustration ! I sketched it a few weeks ago, didn't like the colors I picked, let it rest for a few days, and opened the file again last week. 

I picked another color palette, based on the Kiki painting I did last year :

I think it goes well with this time of year, it's cold but with a touch of warmth.
Here's the Procreate sketch : 

The pose is based on this picture of Emma Chamberlain :

I traced the Procreate drawing on watercolor paper with a light table :

First layer of paint : blue

Some coral and light pink 🌸

Outlining is always challenging and scary for me !

Like I said already : not loving painting shoes 😳 here I sketched a shoe with gouache, because I didn't draw too many details on the Procreate sketch so I couldn't rely on it. 

A touch of yellow 🌙

Final illustration :

I'll probably fix some details in Procreate later, add more depth here and there (I feel like it's a bit too flat). I like to open pictures of my finished paintings on paper in Procreate to see what I could have added/changed. 

This one could be a nice print for January, what do you think ? 😳
