Celestial Friends ✨ Herons ✨ Preview + Process (Patreon)

Hello Patrons,

I just finished the Heron painting and I took a bunch of pictures while painting - I really wanted to film the process and make a video but I stopped after a first painting session, I guess I didn't want to put too much pressure on this one !

First step - outlining the important lines with black paint :

Pinks + grey

Gradient !
I don't know how helpful this is, but I did take pictures at every step.
1. Here I started with the lightest color on top + the darkest color at the bottom of the sleeve.
2. I mixed both colors and "linked" the top + bottom with it
3. Again I mixed the both colors and added more of the darkest color to it
4. Same - more dark blue to the mix
5. Repeat
6. Until the last shade blends in the darkest color !

I didn't like how the wing touches the hair 🙇‍♀️

I don't know if you can see, but I outlined the wing and her hair (later I added white paint to cover it up). So that there's a little space between both elements, and it doesn't make the composition awkward anymore !

I'm so happy I finally finished this series ! I will now scan them and order the prints for next month 🌌 I am going to make a poll for the sticker now !
