The Center of the Universe ✨🪐 Process + Preview (Patreon)

Hello Patrons,

I just finished the very last piece for my solo show in Japan today !!

It's a big one (A3) and I recorded the whole process, hopefully I will start editing it very soon so I can upload it on YouTube asap (and maybe do a premiere ?? I have never done that before and it would be so fun to talk to you guys while watching the video !) 🥲🌷

Here's the sketch I did on my iPad (thank you for the kind words about my sketches by the way ! I am so happy you like them, I cannot wait to paint them on paper although I feel like drawing witches next 👀)

I ended up not using the color palette I picked on Procreate - I didn't love it so I thought I'd improvise something when painting on paper. I liked the color palette for the "Make a Wish" painting I did last year and decided to go with the same blues and pinks !

The background and her hair were so much fun to paint !!

As you can see I didn't know what I was doing when painting her top, I tried mapping the color scheme as I went and hoped for the best

I like how it doesn't look like the initial sketch (color wise). I'm not used to paint this big too, so this piece was a bit of a challenge, but when I look at it, it was 100% fun and I feel like the point of this painting was to try something new without putting too much pressure on it (probably because it was the last piece for the exhibition 😸)
