Medieval Coin 🥀 Process + Preview (Patreon)

Hello Patrons !

Here's a new illustration I just finsihed - I shared the sketch with you a few weeks ago and you seemed to really like it, so I decided to paint it on paper so it can be November reward (not sure if it's going to be the mini print or big print yet, but it would make a cool sticker !!)

As usual I took some pictures while painting (also recorded some process shots to make a reel, we'll see if I'm not too lazy to edit it though 🥲) 

I took pictures at the end of each painting sessions, which is at least 1h30 long.

I started with the background using black and orange + her hair because I like to paint all the parts that are the same colors at the same time (so I don't waste too much paint !) 

Now let's paint the blue parts ! I started painting with the lightest blue shade : 

And worked the details with darker blue as I went (kind of improvised for that one !). Then I painted the armor with the leftover blue paint :

I really like how this one turned out ! I hope you'll like it too ! Also I called it Medieval Coin because it's round and I like the idea that this design could be an actual coin, but if you think of other names, please share in the comments !  🥰

I still have some work to do before leaving next week (I am going to Japan for 3 weeks 😮). I want to have some content to share with you guys while I am there, so let's see if I can make it !!
