We're coming up on thirty years since I first 'met' Allen Falkner on rec.arts.bodyart. 

Allen would likely be dismissive of my constant cheerleading of his place in the history of modern body modification and ritual; I think that his contributions to body suspension are nodally the most important factor in it's resurgence. He'd argue that, humbly, but he'd be wrong, because Allen is rad. 

This video dates back to 1995 and owes a lot to the work of British author Clive Barker.
