Tattoo collector Joe Bailey was better known by his pseudonym of Ink Pad; he was photographed by Diane Mansfield frequently, appearing in a spread in PFIQ magazine (I'll have to update this with the issue number) with Krystyne Kolorful.
About the artist:
Joe's tattooing was primarily done by Don Nolan. Beginning his tattoo career in 1955, Nolan was considered to be one of the artists who helped kickstart the modern tattoo renaissance, along with Sailor Jerry Collins, Don Ed Hardy, and Cliff Raven. He worked at Grimm's at the Pike from 1963-1970, settling in St. Paul, MN until his passing in 2019.
This photograph was taken between 1992-4, no date specified.
