I can't say what Jack Yount would think about the changing landscape of gender expression and identity we're experiencing; he didn't live long enough to see folks become empowered by ditching the binary and being able to define themselves and their place on the gender spectrum in a way that his generation would have never thought possible. 

During my friendship with him we never really discussed his gender identity- even if those wouldn't have been the words we used to discuss it- and I don't feel it's my place to theorize how he would have expressed it even using  the vocabulary we have today. What I know is that he embraced the fluidity of his anatomy- from a (gigantic) penis thanks to silicone injections by Dr. John Ronald Brown to a functional vagina (that he justified via the need for urethral relocation) beneath it, to his breasts which were a result of HRT (he was a eunuch who took estrogen- his stories of smuggling cases of it over the US/Mexican border were legendarily funny) and direct silicone injections, Jack's body was a wonderful example of using surgical body modification to make the outside you match the inside you,
