In 1978, Doug Malloy, Jim Ward, Sailor Sid Diller, and tattoo fan Elizabeth Weinzirl traveled to the UK on their way to a tattoo expo and spent some time in Wandsworth, South London with influential tattooist/piercer Alan Oversby. A gracious host, Alan not only arranged meetups with local piercing fans but gave Sailor Sid a few tattoos as souvenirs. 

If you can make out the design this tattoo came from, it seems that he had a mask and a leather jock, but why go for subtle?
