Birthdays. (Patreon)

Thirty years ago today, I spent my 18th birthday at Jack Yount's house. All things considered it was like any other day at Jack's- by that point I'd been visiting him a few days a week for going on three years - taking pictures, listening to stories, and eating Klondike bars, but Jack still managed to make it special and give me a little present on my way out. 

Today I turn 48. 

More of my life has been spent archiving, documenting, and contextualizing body modification than not. Sometimes that seems really weird to me. Other times, it just makes sense. 

I want to thank you folks for the support you've shown to our archival project(s) - be it your support here on Patreon, purchasing our books & zines, helping me with my research requests, etc.

I always say "we couldn't do what we do without you!" but that's not really true. I did it for years without support, and it sucked. You folks make it NOT suck, and that's really rad.
