1970s Polaroid of Jim Ward piercing "Rufus of Rochester" - try as I might, I've not been able to dig up any information on Rufus, so if anyone has any leads, please get in touch. 

Rufus has an amazing full back 'blast over' tribal style tattoo done in the late 1970s or early 1980s, so he's a fairly distinctive fellow.

Notice the thimble on Jim's finger- piercing needles in the 1970s (and 80s, and 90s) were less sharp than the modern made-for-the-industry equivalent, and often needed a little extra nudge to get through the tissue.
