2006: ESU Branding on Chris - RGCDVC03 (Patreon)

Context from Ron Garza:

Ok- back in 2006, Sky’s (Renfro) company, “Professional Piercing Information Systems” or PPIS had back to back 2 day branding and scarification classes. Monty and Sharon did the branding and (Dave) Gilstrap and my self gave the scarification class. 

This ESU scar was done by Monty’s apprentice at the time during the second day of the branding class where everyone branded and got branded and tried different traditional methods and modern tools like this, and cautery and TCU’s. They were re-branding scars on Chris that Joyner had done a few times, but Glunt just didn’t/ wouldn’t scar well- so they tried it with the ESU to see if that worked better.

We're still (very) slowly but surely working through the incredible donation from Body Artist Ron Garza of years of physical media documenting his career; each tape has to be digitized, edited, cleaned up, rendered, stored on both physical storage locally and cloud storage, and contextualized. Ron is one of the most influential characters in the popularization of scarification/branding and we're lucky to be able to share highlights from his thirty years in the community.
