Silver Anchor, as an entity, had a complicated history. 

It was the name of the private tattoo shop, primarily serving gay male clientele, run by Sidney Eugene "Sailor Sid" Diller (yellow shirt) out of his home in South Florida, where piercing fan/nudist libertine Ed Fenster (behind Sid, checkered flannel shirt) was a friend and client. 

Ed's nascent body jewelry enterprise would take on the name Silver Anchor with Sid's blessing, operating out of Crystal Springs, Florida until it's demise in the 1990s.
