Google Drive Tip: It takes time for Google Drive to process videos. If it says "still processing" or is only allowing you to view at 360p, then you can always come back later or download the video in full

Dropbox Tip: The quality of the video is lower while streaming so I recommend downloading or using google drive if thats an issue

I'm SO excited for you to explore this show

Graduate programs follow undergrad/bachelor degree programs here. So they've been to university and are about 4 years out of high school. As for Julia's arm, I don't think it was meant to be any deeper than tying the memory to a physical trauma to help her retrieve it later. Presumably the memory wipe is more blocking access to the memory, rather than removing the memory. Enjoy the world!

NO WAY!!! I literally just started rewatching this but I am SO excited you are watching. Pressing play IMMEDIATELY

First time I watched this show, and I was hooked from the first episode, especially the last scene because it was done so well. Everyone being frozen but able to move their eyes, the music, the mystery of the moth guy. Even the eyes being gouged out, and I hate ANYTHING related to eyeball torture in movies/shows, I even hate the scene in Ace Ventura when he's just poking his own eyeball lol

Seth

OH YES MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE

So Harry. Julia cut herself so she could then see the resulting scar later. It's a bit of a trigger to get her memory to allow her to remember Brakebills exists, as well as magic.

Never watched it, I loved it!! Oh isn't great when you find a show you can wait to keep watching?

I know I'm commenting on a 2y old reaction, but maybe future viewers will appreciate the ongoing discussion. Unless we accept Julia's suggestion that "maybe I'm just a mutant" and go with some sort of chosen-one trope, I've accepted it to be like a Dr Who perception filter. Like maybe the spell and the alibi made it so she'd never even question where she was unless she had a reason to really make an effort to remember - like a decent wound would encourage her to look directly at the illusion hard.

Tiny bit at the end with the coin was explained in the novel. Sort of. In the book Quintin goes througth a whole elaborate display of his entire closeup magic reportoire in his iniital interview. And it turns out that his disappearing coin thing was actually real magic that he hadn't really noticed he was doing - teleporting the coin. So in the show, he doesn't actually move at the end. There's a little glow and the coin just drops. But that's not an actual event in the novel so I can't even guess why except to establish that he has this ability before going into the cliffhanger.
