in episode two, child anathema recited this prophecy, which we now see come true in episode five! — “four shall ride, and three shall ride the sky as two, and one shall ride in flames, and there shall be no stopping them; not fish nor rain, neither devil or angel. and ye shall be there also, anathema” this show plants lots of little seeds throughout episodes that are always fun to catch retroactively!

Just a comment - part of the reason Crowley is so upset about the bookshop being on fire is because the opposite of Holy Water is Hellfire. So I think he thinks the angels set the bookshop on "hell"fire and Aziraphale is really dead.

This isn't a question but just a heads up for episode 6 (not a spoiler): I recommend listening to the song at the end of the episode all the way through, and pay attention to the lyrics as they are rather significant :)

going off of this, this is what the writer said about crowley thinking aziraphale is dead: “If the bookshop was burning down then something bad must have happened to Aziraphale. If the bookshop was burning down and Crowley couldn't sense Aziraphale anywhere in the bookshop or anywhere on Earth then something very bad must have happened to Aziraphale.”

an explanation of discorporating, as told by the good omens wiki: To be discorporated is for your spirit or soul to be separated from your body when the body has been destroyed. This term is mentioned a few times in Good Omens, and only applies to celestial beings, especially demons and angels. If you have been discorporated, and you are a demon, you have the opportunity to possess a human body. Only one case has been recorded of an angel inhabiting a mortals body.
