Colin makes it clear in this episode that he loves Penelope, but she still hasn't said it back (despite the audience knowing). It's clearly an insecurity of his - that's why he was trying to give her an "out" while also trying to prove he'd be a good provider. Given this, do you think his self-confidence has grown since E1 when he was just pretending to be confident or do you think he's about the same level?

Earlier in the season Violet told Francesca to be open to love even if it isn’t with the Queen’s chosen match, so why do you think she is so hesitant towards Francesca and John as a couple?

I don’t know if you’ve noticed but Bridgerton writers seem to have put a lot of effort into showing explicit consent in all their “steamy” scenes in s2 and 3 (likely due to the backlash from #that scene in s1).

What do you think about the fact that Eloise never knew about Pen’s feelings for Colin? Do you think she should’ve noticed after all these years, or was Penelope just that good at keeping the secret?

Considering Colin is the most eligible bachelor this season, Portia’s negative reaction to his engagement to Penelope was surprising. Do you think her concerns surrounding the Marina situation are valid or completely unfounded?

Eloise gave Penelope an ultimatum this episode, but do you think Penelope should tell just Colin or should she also tell all the Bridgertons as they’ve all been indirectly affected? Technically Colin and Eloise have been the most directly affected and as her best friend and fiance they’re the ones with the most right to know.

Fun fact, Nicola and Luke have said in interviews that during the filming of the sex scene they broke the settee sofa lmao

episode 1 and this episode really highlight how kate has effortlessly fit in with the bridgertons, from the younger siblings looking up to her and anthony and their relationship to eloise confiding in her to benedict so casually calling her sister - what are your thoughts on that natural progression and how important do you think it is for the family to have anthony find someone like kate to join them?

Penelope has said that she's had troubles getting noticed in the past. While this has been a sore point, it has also helped her operate as Lady Whistledown. Having a devoted fiance - and a Bridgerton at that - changes her life in several ways. How do you think events will play out given the sudden spotlight?
