In case you need an updated name list at this point: Athena Grant (Angela Basset) Michael, May, Harry: ex-husband and kids Bobby Nash: captain of the 118 (pronounced One-eighteen) (deceased wife - Marcy, kids - Brook and Bobby Jr.) The 118 Hen Wilson (wife - Karen, ex Eva, son - Denny) Chimney Han Buck Buckley (sister - Maddie) Eddie Diaz (son - Christopher, who is a national treasure) Other cast Josh Russo - Fellow 9-1-1 dispatcher

One of the details I liked about this episode is showing that Maddie also doesn't understand movie/TV show references, just like Buck. Nice consistency in how they were raised.

sarah

thank you!

I really wonder how much effort the directors/actors put into making Buck & Eddie move in sync. Because this is their second episode together and they're already mirroring each other.

Olivia

i think about this all the time because they really are in sync so so often

Sunchi

Yes, Christopher is a national treasure! Love him so much 🥺🫶🏽

To answer your question on how first responder tackle events like these: they are called Mass Casualty Incidents (MCI). There are protocols and lots of training around how to tackle them and the chain of command. The triage system is an art form and we follow so many acronyms lol. So in short, we practice these and we learn from past experiences to make us better. Note: what they do for Jeff under these conditions would really never happen. There are more survivors to look for that have a better chance at survival, unfortunately. If he was the only patient, then yeah we’d stop at nothing, but under those conditions we only do interventions that would take us less than a minute.

Oh and as far as how much fire is actually fought…it truly depends on the area but it is typically 80/20. 80% of calls are medical and/or rescue, 20% is fire.
