yea claudia probably thought the policemans blood smelled yummier than the other guys lmao, lestat touches on that at the start of ep 2 when hes teaching louis how to use his senses, describing how blood has different smells and tastes depending on the person

its interesting to think about how the pov switch from louis to claudias makes things feel more light and silly like you mentioned. its of course because we are hearing the thoughts of a child and that their dynamic has changed with her in the picture but its interesting that louis and lestats relationship seems so much better through claudias eyes. we dont really get to see these soft moments from louis perspective, and im sure its partly because claudia was a ''bandaid for a shitty marriage'' like daniel said, but it also makes me think about how many more nice moments there probably were in their relationship that we dont know about because louis doesnt want to share them.

What you said about the trouble with any romantic relationships Claudia may have is so true. Even though the actress is older than Claudia is supposed to look, all the characters in-universe physically see Claudia as a 13 year old girl. Which means anyone who shows a sexual interest in her must be attracted to the body of a 13 year old.
