jacob (louis) and eric (daniel) said something about how louis doesnt have any friends and daniel doesnt have any friends and how maybe theyve found each other now. the fact that they had a bond that they didnt know about for DECADES is crazy

Yeah Dropbox has a max limit of 2hrs it seems. I usually start off with it and then switch to google drive because drop box loads faster

its very cool rewatching the show and seeing how differently jacob plays present time louis in s1 vs now towards the end of s2. when you go back and watch the pilot he feels almost robotic, and throughout the show he gradually starts feeling more and more human.

i also have to applaud him for the different versions of louis hes played.. human louis, nola louis, paris louis, san fran louis, dubai louis.. the different accents (for example his nola accent is gone in dubai and starts disappearing in paris) and his different mannerisms.. hes so talented and i wish he got more recognition for his work in this show :(

You mentioning that Louis seems like he has the colors drained out of him is also interesting when you consider his wardrobe. In the past, it's shown the Louis likes color a lot. He wears reds and greens and it was said in S1 that he dressed Lestat and Claudia often. In the present day, he's been wearing black sweaters pretty much the whole time.

This is the only episode of s2 that I’ve watched multiple times and I’m still in awe of the writing and acting every single time

I just realised that Lestat had Antoinette following Louis and Claudia the night Claudia tried to leave which means Lestat knew that Louis had contemplated committing suicide that night which must be the reason why he stopped Claudia from leaving. Same reason why Armand hides particularly painful memories from Louis.

Even with us normal humans we see people hold anger and resentment towards loved ones who’ve committed suicide or even attempted it. And it’s the same with Armand here except the feeling is doubled because Louis is supposed to be his immortal companion and without him, Armand is alone. In his eyes, Louis chose death over him.

this!! you can see it in his home too, back in nola it was beautifully decorated with a lot of red and warm tones and now in his dubai home its all grey and bare

Yes, even the inside of Louis's coffin has always been vibrantly colored when you wouldn't expect a coffin to be. Now that he's replaced his coffin with a bed, he sleeps inside a grey room.

Oh absolutely, mentioned it a while back but one of my FAVOURITE examples of grief in TV is from S4 of Charmed, no spoilers incase u haven't seen it (will always recommend tho) but the emotions involved are so raw and real. It is so beautifully sad 😭

Absolutely, the fact I haven't heard of this show before the recommendations for the poll is insane. This shoudl be mainstream with how insanely well written and acted it is. U can really feel a difference in each Louis which is amazing
