Well, okay, safe to say this episodes title may have been the MOST accurate so far 😂 hard to watch at times but a really good story to dive into, so I am glad they went there! Link 1 (Google Drive): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lm48IM7u8juv16R0DBPWkTz4tmMDwPx9/view?usp=drive_link Link 2 (Dropbox): https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/8z27vw29cts7zprnw7ys0/911-S3E5.mp4?rlkey=cdndvt190ocasvqs1ovpxbv3x&st=xmw9ejfk&dl=0 Google Drive Tip: It takes time for Google Drive to process videos. If it says "still processing" or is only allowing you to view at 360p, then you can always come back later or download the video in full Dropbox Tip: The quality of the video is lower while streaming so I recommend downloading or using google drive if thats an issue

First time commenter!! I apologize for the long ramble ahead. As someone who is in the medical field, I understand the risk of blood thinners while working a hands on job like this. If it was just that making the decision to hold Buck back from the job, I would be more understanding. This was obviously personal for Bobby. However he wanted to spin it, the department was obviously willing to sign off on Buck’s return to the field medically. Given that the department was also willing to settle for millions of dollars means that Buck had a point legally. I also want to point out that Bobby kept the fact that it was him personally keeping Buck out of the field from him… and likely wouldn’t have told Buck that. To me, that feels like guilt. I’m sure part of it is the blood thinners… but it feels more like Bobby’s issue with Buck getting hurt than the risk to the other firefighters in his command. This arc is definitely something that splits the fandom in two, and while I agree that a lawsuit probably wasn’t the best way to go about it, Buck had a right to be upset by the treatment given the evidence that others who suffered arguably (more?) serious injuries and emotional traumas without real pushback to return to work. It has been over 5 months at this point. Probably closer to 6/7 by the time the arbitration hit. I really love your reactions!

agreed! i have watched this arc many times and i side with buck more and more each time. was the lawsuit/trusting the lawyer naive? sure but he clearly had a case if they were going to pay him millions. this ultimately comes down to bobby worrying about buck too much which i do love, but in this case his worry is clouding his judgment and he’s not being fair to him.

100% agree with the other comments in that doctors agreed buck was medically fit to go back to work but it was bobby who made the decision and didnt want to risk it not because buck wasn’t fit but because he wanted to protect buck from making mistakes that he made in the past which is lovely to do but as athena said previously, you have to let him make decisions on his own and if he fails/makes mistakes then thats okay and that allows him to grow also i think its crazy that chimney literally got a rebar through his skull (an actual miracle as the doctors called it) and no one said he wasn’t ready, batted an eye or pushed back when he came back to work - in bucks mind hes not thinking omg they were allowed back to work far too quickly, all hes thinking is that they were allowed back straight away and im not even though i have been cleared by doctors who would know more medically than bobby would

my mum's a nurse and she said that a light duty desk job // fire marshall makes him more at risk of blood clots than him being back in the field would. because he's stationary most of the time, the clots build up. so bobby's actually done the opposite of his intended goal of keeping buck safe, and is putting him in harm's way, whether he knows it or not.

Fun fact! In case you did not know, Ryan Guzman, who plays Eddie, is a former MMA fighter so this storyline of Eddie turning to fighting to cope with his anger is partially influenced by Ryan’s former career. (Ronda, who plays Lena, is also an MMA-fighter)
