SUCH A FANTASTIC EPISODE!! Definately my favourite of the season so far, the suspense was insane and just seeing how this creature is so meticulously able to get into peoples minds is so bloody cool

When you say that you are trying not to judge the hunters bc they are being influenced remember they're is a spectrum. Monroe seems to being following in Gerard's footsteps and while her initial motivation is fear, it has grown to a point where she genuinely wants this. Verses some like the ones driven to suicide you can assume are mainly operating on fear and for the teenage hunters like nolan not only are they operating on fear they are actively being groomed into it by Gerard and Monroe who picked the most vulnerable/obedient students impacted by the creature via counciling sessions and taught them to use wepons and intimidated them into loyalty, although some are taking to it more naturally than others. All this to say that while they are all being supernaturally influenced that doesn't nessacarly resolve them of guilt in some cases and it doesn't nessacarly make sense to judge them all the same way. Ps. My personal theory of why theo came to be redeemed in many people's mind is he got a better haircut (he really is so much hotter now). Malia is also at peak hair too after me not loving her 6a hair although liams for the next few eps is getting to an awkward length. Mason's hairline gets a little messed up near the end and I'm not loving the 2016 side part on lydia especially bc she usually has the best hair but I guess none of this really matters at all to the plot

Yes when Jiang and Tierney told Scott what they did Scott ask something along the lines of “are you sure it was the hunters who attacked you did you see them kill anyone?” And the two of them responded “does it even matter?” Meaning they didn’t really have concrete evidence just that the houses the broke into and killed people at had loose associations with the hunters. Which is what made the whole situation so messy in the first palace

Ohhhh thats deffo what got me confused then. I thought they meant that they went after confirmed hunters, but they didn't know if they were the EXACT hunters that killed Satomi. Thats going WAY over the line on justified revenge then.

Interesting, I hadn't thought of it like that. I've moreso been thinking that the creatures influence is stronger on people like Monroe, making their fear turn into joy in terms of tackling the very thing that caused them fear. But the suicide aspect deffo plays with that, as it feels more sadistic and detached when looking at people like Monroe, like you said its grown to an actual passion for them. I do still think its foggy as its hard to know what would have happened with her specifically without the creatures influence, but there's enough blood on many of these hunters hands now that it doesn't really matter anymore. They enjoy what they do and they need to be stopped 🤷‍♂️
