Gonna be real, ya boi is a little dissapointed with this 'finale'. Feel like things were not handled the best, but alas, it is what it is. That said, oh my GOD am I excited to explore the rest of S4, Hope as a tribrid with her switch off is just insane to begin with, I can't wait to see the vibes of next episode!

i was so positive the whole time Hope's blood is fatal to Landon was a thing and i was ready for his death the second Hope was "born" by nature to end Landon became a thing but damn.. didn't make it easier seeing Hope kill him. Kid definitely deserved to live the life to the fullest and Hope deserved to have someone that loved and appreciated her good and bad, hits harder when you've watched her "backstory" and her emotions naturally just getting switched off knowing one more person she loved dearly was gonna die. i don't know about the switch off but i genuinely do not know how a normal person would handle all closest to them person just gone, switching emotions off seems way too normal compared to the tragedy for her.

Oof missed the question cut off by a hair. I’ll add some of my questions for next weeks episode. Also yes though the show was cancelled season 4 finale was still written as a good stepping off point for the show.

To make the Hope escaping even more silly, it was Malivore that cracked the glass first by hitting it before walking away

Brandon

Hybrids don’t burn in sunlight, klaus had a daylight ring when he was bound but after he broke his curse he’s never used one

Harry Allen

Brain definitely had a blip there 😂 appreciate it as my lore knowledge gets foggy the longer we go!

Realised that will editing and ngl, it hurt my soul a lil 😭

Its just such an absurd level of grief for anyone to have to process, can not IMAGINE having that supernaturally heightened as well. So curious to see if she is ever gonna turn it back on. Cause narratively you'd think she 'has to', but god, how 😭

Kitty Underwood

Even normal humans don't burn when in transition, their eyes are just a little sensitive to light

Brandon

I agree with you on the tone/pacing of this episode. The only thing I have no complaints with, is hopes power display. She absolutely ragdolled Malivore lmao and he was so confident Honestly feels like the writers mainly focused on the hope turning aspect. They should’ve just had that as the whole episode because it would’ve been a bigger goodbye to landon

Exaclty! It was the same thing for Elena, everyone was like she has Care and Bonnie and Stefan and Damon but there’s a difference between friends and loved ones and people who you love intimately, people that touched you in a way nobody ever has and everyone that ever did with both Elena and Hope are just gone (more so with Hope of course, cause Elena at least got some people back). I don’t think i’d even be able to tell a person like that to choose and come back to the reality of waking up every morning knowing you won’t be able to have any of that familiarity anymore (( although right up until this one, she sure as hell stood her ground at being strong and living though all deaths. I’m just an audience and even for me the death and more so the ‘struggle’ of someone, that’s a walking positive energy like Landon hits differently than most characters in TVDU. I can imagine it hitting for Hope. He was just a kid wanting to live, not more not less and he was literally born to die, what an irony..

That just felt like a Buffy killing Angel repeat. Starting off by fighting the villain and then halfway through they turn back into the loved one.
