Google Drive Tip: It takes time for Google Drive to process videos. If it says "still processing" or is only allowing you to view at 360p, then you can always come back later or download the video in full

Dropbox Tip: The quality of the video is lower while streaming so I recommend downloading or using google drive if thats an issue

Hi Harry, thanks for the reaction as always! Are there subtitles for this show you could turn on? As a non-native English speaker I found it very hard to follow, especially when you talked over some dialogue, so that would be great, thanks!

Sorry I was so tired last night I forgot to comment about that! The original footage had subtitles on it but it didn't record the audio for the episode 🙄 my editing software then refused to add a subtitle file i was able to find so had to leave it without this time. All the future ones will have subs don't worry 🧡

I’m so excited you are reacting to this one! I will say I just recently started watching your 911 reactions and when you said you have trouble with the bloody scenes I worried a little about you with this one, but it’s so worth it! I know you will love it and can’t wait to hear your analysis of the characters!

I can tell you GSW is a Gun Shot Wound and a GCS stands for Glasgow Coma Scale with a scale of 1-10, 10 being awake, responsive and alert and 1 is unconscious, non-responsive, possibly brain dead. This is also my first time watching it so I'll be following it with you :) There's definitely a shortage of nurses in the UK, more so because people will train for the career and then can't find work because the NHS doesn't have the money to hire more nurses, so then they go into private hospitals etc. I believe it's the same in the US, only hospitals budgets are different.

GCS is 3-15

Yeah, there are a lot of things talked about in the show that will resonate with people in the medical field. Some of the tests they order and deferential diagnosis they discuss will foreshadow storylines on the show. It’s not the end of the world if you don’t know or understand because at the end of the day, it’s to submerse yourself in their world. If you do want the insight, Dr. Mike on YouTube goes through each episode and give the pertinent information.

Daylet

I am honestly surprised you’re watching this show since I know how squeamish you are on episodes 911 😂. This show is incredibly realistic. It does not hold back in order to be authentic. And yeah, there’s been a nursing shortage for like 10 years.

Medical School is 4 years: MS1 - Year 1 MS2 - Year 2 MS3 - Year 3 (Student Intern Year 1): Javadi MS4 - Year 4 (Student Intern Year 2/Interview for Residency placement): Whitaker Residency is 3-5 years (depending on specialty): RS1 - Year 1 (Oversee student doctors): Santos RS2 - Year 2 (Oversee student doctors): McKay & King Senior resident (oversee student doctors and interview for Fellowship): Langdon and Collins Fellowships (focused on a specialty): Garcia, her specialty is emergency surgery. Attending: Abbot and Robby

Stina

Yes there 100% is a nursing shortage here in the US. We don’t pay anyone a livable wage here, plus they are overworked and under protected in their jobs. Covid made it all worse as well.

Stina

I was coming to recommend Dr. Mike! I do think the show gives context to the most important medical information via talking to patients/family and the med students. I’ve watched tons of medical dramas stating with ER in the 90s so I’ve picked up a lot of the terms over the years.

omg so excited!! as soon as i saw this i had to renew my subscription ahhh!!

There is a great podcast linked to this show, that started with season two. The hosts talk to the actors, producers, real doctors, etc. Lots of cool behind the scene stuff. In season two, the podcast would air immediately after the episode each week. I highly recommend it, when you watch the second season.
