Episode 15 1. What are your thoughts on how everyone handled the situation? Do you think Morgan's shortness toward JJ is justified? What would you have done or felt if you were in JJ's position? 2. As an outsider, what are your opinions on the list of flaws the team pointed out about Hotch (bully, no sense of humor, drill sergeant, not trusting women as much as men)? Do you agree or disagree with them? Would you add any?

Episode 14 1. This is one of those super unexpected episodes that kinda slaps you in the face, and you definitely have no clue it's gonna be a two-parter going in. I believe this was the mid-season finale, if I'm not mistaken. 2. What are your predictions so far? How do you think the story might continue, and what do you think will happen to Reid and JJ? 3. What are you most curious about when it comes to this case? Is there anything specific you're wanting to know about the unsub?

Episode 15 1. What are your thoughts on why Reid was targeted by the unsub specifically? Do you think he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, or did the unsub somehow know about Reid and choose him specifically? Do you think it was even in the unsub's original plan to kidnap someone? It's a pretty big M.O. change. 2. What do you think will happen to Reid after this? Any predictions on how he'll deal with the trauma moving forward, and how it might affect his character overall, especially within the dynamics of the team and the show? 3. I find it interesting that JJ brought up Emily's demeanor thus far; it really made me think about it for the first time, and she's right. Despite having come from a desk job, Emily has stayed calm, professional, and relatively unfazed since the moment she joined the team, even when dealing with particularly horrific things like the case with Frank. That says a lot about her, and it made me wonder where that comes from. I thought maybe it had something to do with her being raised by a diplomat and having to move around a lot; she might have become used to having to adjust to new and unfamiliar things. What do you think? 4. I also love that little feminist moment from Emily where she called out Hotch for sometimes automatically trusting men more than women (whether intentionally or not). Emily is the first character on the team who's been really willing to stand up to him in any meaningful way, which we've seen a couple of times now, and I'm curious to see if/how that will affect the team dynamics at all going forward.

Episode 17 1. This episode breaks my heart every time, and it's really a testament, even to this day, to how often the system fails people with extreme mental health issues. Obviously, in this case, it was more complicated than that, and it was a bit of a freak thing that was triggered out of nowhere, but I can't help but wonder if this never would have happened if there were more readily accessible resources for people like veterans and addicts. I really appreciate this episode overall for its message and what it brings awareness to. 2. Obviously, Reid is struggling and going through PTSD, which is what's causing his uncharacteristic behavior, but he seems to be particularly taking his anger out on Emily. He's snapped at her a few times, acted as if he doesn't want to be around her, and it's almost as if he's blaming her. Of course, it's possible he doesn't really mean it, and it's just coming off that way, but what are your thoughts on why that might be? Is it because she's newer that she's an easier target? Or maybe because she's the only one who called him out/checked in on him, and he feels exposed and vulnerable?

Episode 16 1. This is one of those episodes that deals with a touchy subject, one that's still politically relevant today, and I'm curious how you think the show handled it. I'm personally pretty impressed; I think Criminal Minds has been really good with its representation of controversial issues thus far, especially considering that the first two seasons aired from late 2005 to early 2007. 2. Reid is struggling, which I guess was to be expected, but he's also hiding it and doesn't seem to be really dealing with it. How do you think this might progress? Do you think he'll eventually open up and get help on his own? 3. We got to learn a little bit more about Emily, and I'm glad to see some of her genuine personality peeking out from the professional mask she usually seems to put on, as well as see her willing to open up a bit about her personal life. Would you have guessed she was the nerdy/geeky type? It makes me love her even more! It also looks like Emily is forming a bit of a friendship with Derek, which is nice because the only other person we've seen her really connect with at all thus far was JJ. She's hopefully starting to find her place in the team!
