Thank you for this wonderful reaction. What an emotional season finale. Every time I watch this episode I cry my eyes out. Lilly Salvatore is a terrible mum. There is no excuse for the way she treats her sons.

Season 7 is one of my favourite, they step up their game cinematografically, the acting is superb. It's a different way of story telling and it is the brothers season, it's a crutial season to understand the brothers, why they act and react the way they do, especially Damon. It gets very psychological, more than before, itìs the most grown up season, because it's very much into psycology. Plus this season has the best eposode of the entire show and another one that is as well high up in the list.

What do you mean by saying that the show wanted to kill Bonnie? She died twice, Alaric died 4 times and had 3 love of his life killed, Jeremy died 3 times, Matt have been, stubbed, bitten, have his limbs broken, drown twice, and sent to the hospital countlestimes times, Tyler had his bones crused on a regular basis, was killed twice, and had to kill his lover to become a wolf again, Elena died and became a vampire, lost all her family, had her body taken over by Katherine, and now is on a magical coma, and Caroline, if there is someone to torture is going to be Caroline. Everybody in the show had their fair share of horrible tragic times, so I don't understand why single out Bonnie, that actually is not the one that suffered the most, just compare her to Alaric, or Elena, or Damon tortured for 5 years just to mention what I can mention.

THIS GODDAMN FINALE ALWAYS MAKES ME CRY. im gonna be honest ive never seen s7 & 8😭 when this aired i was so so upset that elena was gone bc shes my favorite character so i was just like fuck this and didnt watch any more lmfao. and then even tho ive rewatched this show so many times ive just never continued after s6 for some reason, i know how the show ends tho😭 so im thinking i might actually watch them for the first time along w you now

Oh it wasn't meant to be anything serious, just for me Bonnie has always been the one who's death has kept her back the most when it comes to experiencing life (obviously not compared to people who are actually dead). She died and became a spirit for a decent while not being able to experience college life with her besties. Then she came back as the anchor which always felt like she couldn't actually live due to dead people constantly going through her. And then when she died with Damon again, she was stuck in the prison world for so long not being able to get on with life. I definately think Alaric is in a similar boat though, he was dead for a WHILE and even when he finally came back, now he has his wife and kids taken from him which basically resets him back to square one. She's one of my fav characters so I just hope that we can finally get to see her get on with her life now.

I was the same way. I've watched seasons 7 and 8 now, but I've only watched season 8 once, years ago, but years after it aired. Season 7 I've seen a few times, but usually I stop halfway in season 7 or right after season 6. I want to watch 7&8 with Harry though to see if his opinion gives me a new perspective on them
