Are you using a compressor/limiter on the game audio or am I misremembering the soundtrack

Too bad you never got caught, or at least tried to see what would happen. You would have been thrown into a prison cell (which I believe is where the dungeon map is), and then you'd have to figure out how to escape the cell. Also, you completely ignored the entire lower section inside the Forsaken Fortress. You were pretty thorough in Twilight Princess, so I hope you keep that up here and don’t end up rushing through things. I recommend trying to win the squid-battleship game at some point. Not so much for the reward, but because the guy’s reaction is hilarious. You should always talk to NPCs at least twice—they often have more to say. Just like in Twilight Princess and earlier Zelda games. You do it at times, but sometimes not... There are two counters in the shop run by the sail guy. You can see he's about to move when you switch counters. Like the bomb shop in Twilight Princess, each counter probably has a unique interaction, even if it's just the same guy switching between both. I do not remember the difference here though, just noticed you didn't try both.

I don't know what you mean that the shield is completely different. The only difference from the traditional Hylian shield is that where it was bright blue is now brown, and where it was bright red is now gray or silver - presumably because it is old and rusted, after centuries of salty island breezes. The other designs are the same - silver squiggles / ribbons at the top, then the golden triforce, then the stylized eagle (which was red before) taking up the bottom half.

It's my favorite Link as well 😆 The whole extra silly vibe of this game just REALLY does it for me, too. Truly my top Legend of Zelda favorite because of the silly, fun, childlike joy of it. And I was a grown woman by the time it came out, so while there's nostalgia at play here for sure, even as an adult this game made me feel like a kid! *KERBEWM*

And I cannot possibly express my joy as you play SPLOOSH KERBEWM 🤣🤣🤣

Try slowing down windfall islands theme to half speed and see if it sounds like a familiar village song from OOT/ALTTP 😊
