Two endings back to back is a treat! (Well sorta two endings)

Great playthrough, if you wanted you can load a previous save to see the other ending, the autosave should be before you make a decision.

Wooo great work, health issues aside (and the boosting is a decent if not perfect fix) the ending is very epic and the confrontation between verso and maelle at the end is outstanding. I prefer you ending, sad but fitting. Such a great game and excellent playthrough. I hope we get a sequel but whatever this producer does next will be interesting.

Damn, even though you acknowledge the painted world as real, you had zero hesitation to kill the remaining gestrals, grandis, Esquie, Monoco, Sciel and Lune just because one painted dude is tired. Can’t say I support the genocide

The Animated Heroine

I still go back and forth on the endings. Personally, as someone who has lived half in their head for much of their life, I think Verso's ending is the one I prefer. As much as I would admit to using escapism for much of my life to deal with really crap times, I think it's important to separate fantasy and reality. The way Maelle and Aline use the canvas feels kind of...unhealthy. It feels like how someone might get lost in addiction when dealing with grief. Also Verso CHOSE to sacrifice himself for Alicia. The last sliver of his soul doesn't seem to want to keep painting. If painted Verso is anything like real Verso, I think he'd probably make the same choice painted Verso did.
