You nailed it with the recipe analogy before. 3 really perfected the formula of the old recipe. However 4 is an attempt at adding some new stuff but is far better done than 2. It is good. 5 is taking 3 and 4 fused into perfection look forward to seeing you play them (most excited for 5, it is joint favourite with 3)

Woo glad you enjoyed the final fight. It had to be Vergil, someone else would have gotten it wrong. The ending fight is great, Lady confronting Arkham and his (NOOO!), Vergil immensly overestimating himself against Mundus. Beautiful (: Enjoy playing as Vergil it is very fun

My only issue with this game (Still top 12 games of all time along with DMC5) is the Arkham final boss design yes it makes perfect lore and symbolic sense that he cannot handle the power as a human (tainted or not) so ends up a bloated mess but it is underwhelming. Thankfully Vergil joining in and trading swords plus jackpot saves it (:
