Npc's Have Layers Just Like Onions (Hell Edition) (Patreon)

Almost a year ago in July I showed off some examples of a npc maker for heaven. That was quite the task since I ended up with 90 layers which consisted of many things like: hairs, hats, accessories, and clothing. Now I'm back with the sequel by adding on and changing a few things from the one used in the demo. Hell fashion leans towards the punk and greaser side of things.

Been watching the xmen revival lately and really have been liking it. Storm, Rogue, and morph have been my favorites in the show. Anyway getting back on track seeing Gambit's hair made me want to make a few edits to a hairstyle I made prior to watching. A kinda side hairstyle but this time adding more hair sticking up in parts.

It definitely feels fuller in my opinion now. The back hair was kinda hard since the show didn't really have top down view. Another thing you may notice is that there are gonna be a underglow/highlights for demons hair. Ame said that it's “an accent color, often bright, on the underside of the hair, but it often gets styled more visibly." With the hairstyles I did it's more the latter camp of that sigh.

Hair number 2 comes from the show Arcane with Vi. A very kick butt character with a even more kick butt hairstyle. It was quite the challenge to do with all 4 sides being quite different but it turned out okay. My favorite being the back and the left facing one in terms of the sprites and least favorite is the right facing one but I kinda had to guess using the reference.

Last but certainly not least is my favorite Jojo Jolyne Cujoh. So I kinda want to sidetrack for a sec and talk about Jojo. About 2 years ago I binged the series but, had to wait for part 6. When part 6 released It was refreshing to have a female Jojo for once; she also felt refreshing in terms of style. The 2 toned hair with braids acting as hair ties was cool. Could talk about more reasons why I like her beyond her style but that's not what this post is about I guess.

Next up clothing tops, for this I tried to make a crop top but have it more like having sleeves and fusing the sleeves with the shirt part. Swear there was a reference somewhere online like that but for now you'll just get the sprite for this one.

Top number 2 we have a twist alter top. Really liked the look of it since it wasn't really a shirt. The wrap around look felt kinda rebellious like it was it's own kind of clothing. I'd show the reference for this one but would rather not show you unsolicited under boob or side boob.

Was thinking something like a crop top jacket would be neat. Couldn't go to far with detail given the sprite size but it gets the job done. This is actually one of the ones I didn't entirely make but rather edited the jacket from the demo. Made a view variants like sleeveless and longer jacket versions for lazy reasons but also for cohesiveness.

If you read this far I sincerely appreciate you it. Maybe I'll make another post before another year passes lol. Been doing more then just this npc maker so there should be plenty of work to show off in the future. Apologies for not going over many hairs,clothing, and accessories. I'm not very good at expressing my thoughts and having used a lot of also,I,but,and, please don't make a drinking game out of this lol. To make up for the limited overview here are some random sets down below.

My situation is stabilizing a bit. Less than I'd like, but it is. Sorry to anyone I've worried.
With the regards to Starlight development... Agh, the code side of things is just such a mess right now still. I'm working on taking some broader steps to get this bottleneck worked out long term... but in the mean time, rather than bashing my head on programming myself, I'm opting to focus on writing. In either case, I don't feel ready to go into details yet until more work is done (so this is a perfect time for say a dev team post like this)
