hi so for those of you who didnt see it on twitter, a couple nights ago lightning struck the dying tree in our back yard and it came down. praise whatever deity you feel like that it didn't land on our house, but it did come down on our fence, our chicken coop (dont worry; they're ok), and our power lines.

we got electricity back pretty quickly but the internet line is still damaged and of course it's a holiday weekend so lol. aside from that there's no shortage of stuff that needs to be cleaned up and rebuilt and since my mom isn't physically able to handle this kind of work a lot of that is falling to me. to be honest it's actually taken me three hours to write this post up to this point because i keep getting called away for various things.

the situation is not awful though, it could really be a lot worse, and things quiet down whenever little she sleeps-- so no need to worry. but for most of what's happened i haven't really been able to focus on development. i hope to resume regular updates either tomorrow or the next day. thanks for hangin' with me on this.
