machine goddess has been restored to her former beauty... if a few thousand files lighter. sooo what was the problem doc? well, accordin' to repairshop-san the HD loader on the motherboard was faulty and had to be replaced. so we replaced it and he brought it back yesterday. imagine my duress then, when i found that the machine was actually still crashing. i was about ready to set something on fire. myself, probably. repairshop-san second.
but thanks to some help i was able to figure out that there was another issue on top of the motherboard* in the form of one of my RAM sticks being corrupt. i was able to find which one it was and remove it, and although i have even less memory than i ever did before, everything seems to be working okay. i've ordered some replacements that will get here next week and then everything should be hunky-dory.

*i'm going to boldly assume for my own sanity that there were two issues and he didn't just misdiagnose a single problem, so that i won't feel like turning it into him was a waste

so back to daily school life. regular updates are back on. streams -will- be back on but i'm not sure when the next time i'll have something to stream will be. soon, possibly. i can think of like 1-2 things if i dont mind a couple spoilers, but maybe i refrain. we'll see--

anyway the nothing i've gotten done in the past two weeks is really eating away at my soul. also i've gotten pretty self-indulgent with recent visiting events. so it's time for me to bunker down and get hard and fast back into the good swing of things.
