ok.
we have furniture.
we have internet.
we have a lot of shit still in boxes and piles on the floor.
fuck yeah

so i promised pictures. it was my intention to make them a feature of this post, and prove, hey, yeah, we actually do have a new place, and you can see it! i took pictures. i have them on my phone still. what i don't have is the phone charger that splits off to USB to actually get them on my compy quickly (there's also like 39894383 other ones i gotta keep for apartment condition stuff)
i had that phone charger a few days ago
where did it go?
i don't know.
it's probably in or under a Pile of Stuff somewhere.
it's 7:20 right now, i'm gonna go searching. time me.
7:21. no luck yet, but i did find my bath towel which i was missing. that's a start.
and also a hiding jacket. this place has become a jacket-hunting minigame for me.
7:25. been through entire house. well, not "house" but. whatever. no luck. got distracted by putting away dishes and did find another crouching tiger hidden jacket-- cass's this time. i'll make one more round.
7:28- FOUND IT. it fell behind one of the like three pieces of furniture we had before two days ago. wasting no time, young cable. i see how you are.
that's actually much quicker than i thought. neat.

here we go.
these first few-- well, i forgot to take pictures before we moved anything in. so this is after our first trip of stuff from the car being piled onto whatever.

this is the living room from the kitchen. unfortunately the wall is yellow, but that's fine. i guess. it could be a worse yellow. the floor is pretty bumpy. it's an adventure.

this is our kitchen from the living room. the front door is to the right so we dumped everything on the countertop/bar. there is so much cabinet space i literally dont even know what to do with it all. cass keeps hitting her head on the part of the ceiling above the box at top right so a pool noodle is taped to it now.
you can see heartfire is keeping vigil. she was our mascot for the trips.
also the fox whose fallen over below to the left of her is selkie. she was tired i guess.

this was the bedroom, but it's going to stop being a bedroom and start being a study because the people overhead are noisy. bed frames are overrated. i only know how to take pictures diagonally.

this is the study. it's going to stop being a study and start being a bedroom because the people overhead aren't as noisy as they are in the presently-a-bedroom. the room is kind of narrow and also so are the doors so i can't really get a full shot in. unless someone wants to teach me how to use a wider FoV on my phone.

this is the living room from a different angle, now with some more furniture.
we got a tv on a black friday sale. it's mostly been used for breath of the wild.
the black chair was given to me by a person who my relationship with should be strictly professional (she does medical work for me but she's not really a doctor... i just pay her to stab me with needles because i need that for whatever reason) but she was moving at the same time i was and needed to get rid of stuff so i've been to her house a couple times to take all her things. the nine year old was hers, and has been having a Bad Time because all the stuff she grew up around is going away. but she apparently likes dan and i, so it's somewhat ok? and also that chair is fantastic so totally worth
the tables are a piano bench and a box. i forget what the box was for. let me check.
it was from an air purifier. editor's note: we don't own an air purifier.
the vulpix's name is Raine. definitely not because of the starlight character or anything. the fox is Starflare and the bunny is Rainbow Hops. they're dating, so they had to stay together.
you know what that pool noodle on the ground is for.

dan got us an instantpot because his mom didn't want it because it can't make yogurt. it can totally make yogurt.
the panda-unicorn to the left of the box is named Sapphire. he is the keeper of this castle, and oversees all things to ensure their order.

PS i love having a kitchen that i can use whenever and can actually fit stuff

this is the study with some things in it. it hasn't stopped being a study yet. that desk was forty dollars from target and rocked back and forth with the movements of my mouse because we didn't have a hammer to put the back on.
the back is now on, and the desk has stopped rocking, but we also got a better, older desk that i'm now using.
for now, until the study stops being a study.

this is my cat. she's blurry. but really cute.

this is also my cat. she's less blurry, but she's taking a bath right now. don't look; geez, what are you, some kind of cat pervert?
this is the only one that is actually from today. the litterbox location and also everything else in the picture is temporary. i spent a while cleaning marker off of that dresser with the nail polish remover three pictures up because its previous owner drew all over it. one might assume a child had done that, but no, it was my mother. one of the drawers has no bottom.

oh, and development i guess. between the constant flux and my own body trying to decide whether it wants to be healthy or not i've only taken a little bit of time to work, but have this random completely inconspicuous graphic. you'll see more of this soon too. 

my next 'step' of the story is pretty much done, sans plugging in some loose end graphics. i hope to return to progress in full once the bedroom stops being a bedroom and starts being a study

sidebar all of this is only possible because of YOU ALL, you guys are the ones who have allowed me to be here and get away from my mother, frankly sooner than planned but the space from her and recent events has made me realize just how important that is. i'm starting to see clearly just how being in that old place was part of what's had such a negative impact on my memory (the lead-laden water probably didn't help)
so i am so so so so so grateful to be here, have you all with me, and i'm looking forward getting back and being a real and functioning person within this realm once more
