18.2 Update released! (Patreon)

as i said in the other post, we wanted to get something out to you for today, and although we were very limited in what all we could safely include without a proper testing cycle, i think we've hit a fair balance. 

details for the update and what it includes are in cass's post here, and the downloads on the main site have been updated. 

someone asked me if mods will still work. if they don't change the script file, like modular ones, probably. if they do, like memeforms or redux, then definitely not. folks will need to update that independently.

once again, huge-- huger than that-- thanks to everyone who helped test this! not a whole lot was found in the end, but the things we did find were important... but also, critically, y'all are my front line of defense against being completely anxious that some game-ruining bug has slipped through. the more testing that was done, the more i can carefully peek around the proverbial corner and be like
is
is it safe?
was... was it okay? was i just careful enough? did i make few enough mistakes?

the answer to all of those questions is 'no'. but maybe it's like, a small, soft, gentle 'no'. with great trepidation, this is what i deign myself to believe.

still, with out you all to help test, this update wouldn't have happen, so please consider all of you blessed with +10 to karma for the rest of the winter season

and to everyone, thank you all for being here and enabling us to do this at all! this AI update is just a painfully small token of everything we've got ready for e19 that we still won't get to show for at least another 4,000 years, so i'm eternally grateful that we can take the time we need to do this properly.
