life update: we are pretty much moved over, minus some loose ends, and minus a lot of things we still need to get for the new place. as cass put it, we're pretty much going to be getting a surprise piece of furniture every week for the next month or more. fun game !!!

other fun games include like, all of the new features we expected to work when we moved here decidedly not working. "yeah the fireplace works," they said. so we tried it, and because all the apartments share a common chimney system, not only did we set off our own smoke alarm, but we smoked up the apartment two floors above us and had the fire department called on us our second night here. we received an email this morning saying "friendly reminder the fireplaces dont work dont use them." fun adventure !!!!

for those concerned about kyra-- she's ok. didn't eat the first night we had her here, or most of the first day. in fact she basically just, explored the room, found my bed, crawled under my pillow and didn't move for approximately eighteen hours. however last night she started eating and drinking again, exploring the place and hanging out with us. i think she's still a little spooked, as she just returned to my pillow again for the first time in a while, but she's getting there, she'll be okay.

we posted this on the servers too but it's too blessed to not post again-- this is a bit after she hid under the pillow, i put a blanket on top of her to help her get cozy and we walked back in the room later to see this:

can't say i'm quite settled back to normal work yet either, but next few days, got a lot of stuff to unpack, put away, and i'll be right back like a boomerang
