Mapping the way forward (Patreon)

Okay so wow. Um. I'm speechless. Two goals in two days is super duper not something I expected at all, and I feel like I've said thank you a gazillion times in the past 48 hours (maybe it's been 72? Idk... I don't have any concept of time...) I  might end up saying it a gazillion more, but in the mean time I think I'd better put my money where my mouth is... or, my mouth where the money is? Put... a map where the money and mouths are??? idk. cut.

Because working on any given element of project can sometimes take a week or more (or at least certain things can) I think my goal is going to be to rotate updates on each of my projects with periodic updates of progress each time... I am very tired and not explaining things well, so hopefully you'll see what I mean.

Let's start with Reborn.

The game's in beta so I can't do much direct work on it, but as you might be able to see from the posted image, I've started coloring our old map. That thing was started years ago, long-predating either the game or any plans of one... and while I don't intend to go through and fix up the line art, I figure a splash of color can at least make it look a lot more appealing than it does in its current inked form.

As it is right now I've just cut the edges out to be transparent from the base color and I'm going through and laying some flat colors on each section. It'll be easy for me to tweak those later and add more complex shading once they're all down, but for now I just gotta get those layers in place. That takes a while in its own rite since there's so many small details and crevices especially in the city. 

Along with this I'll also be updating the map place name tags... They were also set before any real plan of the game was formed so they aren't really accurate. Further, I've been taking some notes of other things to share with you guys that I notice/remember as I revisit this map... but I'll save those for a future day.

From what I understand from the Patreon-pros, that whole reward business is best handled just after payments have processed to avoid any system-gaming (not to be confused with gaming systems, which I much prefer...). So things like credited names, etc will be handled at that time.

I have one or two more things I also intend to add to the rewards, but I was not quite ready to do so at launch... I'll be looking into those soon as well-- or probably once I'm confident I can keep up on all of the current reward patterns.

It means so much to me that you guys are here with me from the very beginning, and that we've had such an astonishingly teriffic start.. Thank you all so much! Oh, there we go.. A gazillion and one.
