Episode Se7enteen (Patreon)

today was pretty great on the productivity front. although i'm still limited in what i can do here during the public release, I have a few key points tonight

* spent some time today touching up previously done sprites including ciel and a couple characters who have yet to appear in game

* starting to tackle feedback from the community release... the music change has gotten a lot of negative responses so i'm going to revert the compression for E16. this means we'll be back to our large downloads, but that seems to be worth it for most people.

* where are my formatting tools, patreon pls :c

Attached is the un-cropped, updated version of Ciel's mugshot to be used in the public release. It's just some refinements her make-up and making her smile a little more natural.

Moreover, and more importantly, after a few discussions and subsequent decisions, I've decided that we're going to tackle Gen VII right away. This means that the short E17 development time I was hoping for is decidedly not going to happen-- but it's probably best for the game in the long run.

In the past we've done x.5 episodes for generational content... Not doing that this time. It's just another month of testing that stalls out development. It'll all be packaged in 17.

All Pokemon will be included but no final word on Z's yet. 

Fortunately Smeargletail has gotten the jump on some of the Gen 7 content and we already have some things, like party and item icons ready to go. Other things we'll begin tapping into the community for. 

Meanwhile I've already begun compiling a list of sprites that we'll need. I think there will be around 100 new pokemon/forms to sprite, which will come out to about 400 files. Yowsers. 

Jan and Zumi from Rejuventation will be helping us out, as will Koyo who previously worked on a few animations. My hope is that between us and the community's support, we can KO this clean and quick!

What Gen 7 additions are you guys most looking forward to using in Reborn? I, for one, have an A-Ninetales to protect, but I'm also really looking forward to Midday Lycanroc since I couldn't use it in Moon.
