she is disabled and her health limits her workability a lot.  her previous bosses have been very understanding and allowed her to stay on staff despite that. her new boss was not so understanding. 

i live with her because she needs the help and because rent in this city costs the life of one's eldest child (imagine having to pay that each month), however we still have rather expensive house payments to meet together. and the only incomes we have now are her disability payments, and you all.

and it's thanks to you all that we're going to be fine through this. i am incredibly grateful, and incredibly humbled.

the attached gif is our animation for surf! i try to do animation reviews on fridays but i don't always know when fridays happen, so yesterday became a friday. anyway surf has been a predictable s t r u g g l e since we were working on it in the batch of animations from before E16.  

a lot of people really came together on this one-- jan made the water gradient, mde did the work in the actual animation, marcello did a huge fix on the animation editor itself which makes backgrounds actually work correctly (yeah that's been broken since ever, still is in E16), and i fought mercilessly to beat it into place and keep it all together.

among other starlight and dptg things i was also able to do more shinies last night; there's about 40 or so left. we're going to have another shiny stream just between us tomorrow afternight*! my mom needs my help clearing out all of her massive inventory from her job over the next couple days so i may not be able to work too much until then, and the exact time is going to be up in the air. my best guess for stream time will be 1/17 at 12 am EST. its pretty late for americans but i doubt i'll be available earlier and i wanted to do this.
