Pathos, Ethos and... (Patreon)

I have been criticized for my lack of interest in marketting. I have a few principles on the matter-- Firstly, time spent working on the project should always exceed time spent talking about it. Secondly, if it's good enough, it'll spread by word of mouth anyway. Thirdly, time spent advertising is probably better used just improving the project.

To that end, making logos and other post-production fluff for projects has not really been a priority. However, as an increasing number of people ask me "What's Starlight Divide," I'm missing a page which I can point them to and just say that-- in all its beauty-- is what it is. Frankly that would save me time in the long run anyway... For that kind of page, I needed a logo.

So I made this last night.

I also did one for DPTG.  Cuz you know, gotta make the title screen.

I'm really happy with how both of them turned out though. <3

Fun fact for you: In Reborn's logo, the circle is textured with stripes through its background. these dudes. That was actually an accident. I was just trying to use the light function in an old photoshop to get a gradient on the background, but it turned out there was a graphical glitch with my old computer's VGU so it couldn't properly render it. Those stripes were the result of that glitch. Since it was uniform after all and kinda unique, I just kept it.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
