two more animations today-- and in proper form-- both of these are from smeargle as well. 

for those who don't know smeargletail and mde are our animators and have been since the dawn of time. they've both put a ton of time and effort into the project, and from what I hear everyone appreciates their efforts greatly.

it is funny to me though, how completely opposite the two are.

Mde is incredibly reliable-- many might already know this since he's a mod on our forums and has put a lot of time into fixing broken save files and such too. This semester is a little different since his schedule is so busy but setting that aside he's almost always on the dot with daily status updates, submitting fixes each week, and almost always takes new moves on every week. Sometimes it takes him 3-4 revisions to get stuff to a good point (and lord do I have the poor boy change a lot) but he handles it like a trooper.

Smeargle on the other hand-- is not so reliable. Sometimes I don't get anything from him for weeks or a couple months-- and then a whole bunch of stuff just shows up in his folder at once. This recent batch was one such case. However unlike Mde who takes several revisions to get the animations looking good, Smeargle-- and especially lately-- almost always sends in that high quality product on the first go. I'm frequently very impressed by his work and by now I've just accepted that if it appearing on a random schedule is the price of the quality, I'll take it.

Hmmm, maybe that's a metaphor for my own production rate?

we're a little more than a quarter done with the last block of animations (does not count 7th gen). It may not all happen in E17-- but we were ahead of schedule anyway.
