Best character has arrived!

Rodrigo García

You probably already know this, but what you mentioned in the intro about the lack of male characters in the series is because it falls under the genre (or sub-genre) called 'cute girls doing cute things.' This genre is characterized by an all-female cast/world, a cute/moe art style, and a storyline mainly focused on 'slice of life. If you like Bocchi, you might want to check out K-On! next. It's an anime from the 2010s, and as far as I know, it was the one that popularized the sub-genre. It's a very similar series but focuses mainly on the friendships between the characters without the added element of social anxiety and the 'realistic' aspect that Bocchi brings to the series.
