Also about Aqua the fact that she chose to learn party tricks first and then her class abilities, says a lot about her. Also Aqua said in the frist episode that she can only heal as a goddess.

U dont rlly need to understand Japanese to understand the name joke 😂 it’s basically just silly sounding names. Some are goofy japanese nicknames they use while others are just wacky weird names nobody would actually name their child. Megumin is probably the most normal name so far cause her name is just the nickname version of the name Megumi. Just adding the N at the end makes it weird if u say it out loud but not as much as other names from her Demon clan 😂

Megumi is a normal Japanese name. Recall in JJK one of the main characters is Megumi. I think the gimmick with the crimson magic clan is that they all have names that are cutsie nickname versions of Japanese names or are just really weird. Adding a "n" to the end of Megumi is basically making it the cutsie nickname version that someone might go by among certain friends. I think she said her mothers name was Yuiyui. Yui is a totally normal name, so Yuiyui sounds like a strange nickname.

at 13:00 the Japanese word for goddess is "Megami". Kazuma is trying to hide the fact that Aqua is a goddess. Megumin isn't alerted because she thinks her name is being said, she's alerted because she heard goddess.

Let's introduce the crew: Useless 1, Useless 2, Useless 3, and Kazuma. This show may seem like a goofy comedy full of fan service at first but it does have some sweet moments especially in later seasons. Also I would skip the OVA, personally I hated the OVA, it kinda ruins Kazuma's character, it also ruins a certain character's introduction plus it's not canon to the actual show.
