Yeeees!!! I am so happy! I hope you guys enjoy this show!!

Geo

This the kinda show that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

DietPop

The pace of this one is pretty quick since they tried to do it all in 1 season at first - I enjoy it though its nice to not always be a super slow burn :)

Ivan

100%

JetLife2TheNextLife

Yeah the reason that this feels like moving really fast is that they had to fit the entire manga in 12 episodes. Thats why after the series got good scores and reviews, they made the "missing piece"

Ivan

This show just emits LOVE, makes me so happy and reminds me of IRL cuples, more then standard anime one tropes in relationship

Peen

I pray it’s oshi no ko s2 after hori even though I love hori

Merv0309

I read the manga and from my understanding they do skip certain parts of the manga. The manga is like 100+ chap and they condensed the story in 13 episodes . I believe there is a 'second season' where they cover some gaps and show more of the side stories.

Ivan

Hori missing pieces has same status as Ousama Ranking (ranking of kings). Its just small parts to give some context at times. Personaly Think horimiya has been perfectly cut to make amazing anime

Jake Thompson

Hori's voice actor is Iris from Violet Evergarden, Asuna from SAO, and Fortuna from Re:Zero off the top of my head.

Crofo

Great reaction! Horimiya is a very cute romance, truly wholesome without any gratuitous fanservice. Second season is indeed filling gaps of what they glossed over in the first season, but it’s really just an added bonus, the show feels complete even without it.

Aleister Crowley

episode 1 had me so confused too, like how fast everything just moved. but I think it just doesn't show time skipping so it feels like the next day, but the characters do tell you that time passed. like hori's friend says "you see those 2 together a lot lately" or miyamura said something like "it wasn't sudden, it happened a while back actually". it seems season 1 was condensed from the manga, then "season 2" is called the missing pieces and it supposed to fill out more of the story from season 1 that we missed. I'm no expert though I started watching horimiya when it won the poll, so i'm barely about to start season 2.

chefboyarkey

Even in the manga I was surprised and delighted how quickly the story and relationship develops. Its very refreshing

chefboyarkey

Don’t worry the teachers make up for the fan service

PyroPhoenix

Little heads up about this show, it does skip around ALOT so yea it feels like you missed a lot because you did lol. They’ve probably been meeting for a few weeks maybe even a month or two. The show will most definitely skip around a lot. S2 is mostly just to help fill in some of the gaps that were skipped in S1 but even then you dont really get to see the ENTIRETY of the story.

Roger Powell

It almost never happens, but CloverWorks was given a completed source work to adapt. However, they were only budgeted for 13 episodes, So, they decided to focus on the pivotal interactions and make sure to get to the ending for all the main and side plots. S2 was only greenlit due to the commercial successes of Kaguya-sama and MDUD.

Crofo

You and me both. OnK S2 was even better than the first

Yaabs Mari

miyamura is shigaraki's voice actor, and the red haired teacher is nanami's voice actor

Space Crow

you guys are gonna love this show its so good!!!!!

KD

Don’t forget the after credit scenes

Narutoanime16

I love leaning about new anime with you gals never heard of this one before ^^ already so good!

Kythar

yes there is a 5 second after credit scene. Not missing anything crazy, but just a little extra.

CoffeeMister

One thing about the anime, they do skip a lot of chapters so expect time gaps in scenes.

Chrollo

Watching one of the greats!! Very nice!!

thereactpack

I enjoy it though! I feel like it still follows the story really well -Morgan

Roger Powell

Agreed, they've started off with some of the best of romcom. After this, they need to get to Kaguya-sama.

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

They moved so fast because they had to fit 2 seasons worth of anime into 13 episodes

Ziggy

gotta get all the meat out yknow?
