So, GOA (the scriptwriter) has been reading the manga since it was serialized, that's why he said he changed the schedules of other works to take on this one. It is very cool how the story makes you feel for him while also understanding Abiko sensei's side. I think the final message is more directed at angry fans, who always want to find someone to crucify in media projects, but when something goes wrong there are a lot of people involved. Also, in case you didn't recognized him, Melt, the purple haired guy, was the terrible actor from Sweet Today last season (the one Aqua provoked to make him angry and make the scene better).

As much as I love the deep character work that makes this series great, the behind-the-scenes look at so many different mediums of the Japanese entertainment industry is such an interesting backdrop for the drama

I'd say there's also a double edge sword to letting fans of a work do a project because there's a chance that they get too caught up on a project and it gets stuck in development hell or end up trying to add too many thing like when Akane asked about why her characters mannerisms were changed and they had to explain that for a stage play there isn't enough time for the more slow and subtle acting like the manga can get away with.

Yeah there definitely needs to be a balance! - Dani

Agreed, it’s a very interesting and insightful aspect of the show.

I really like and appreciate the perspective the show is giving us with the behind the scenes look of what adapting a written work to something takes. As well as the grind it takes to be a manga artist. It definitely not a faint of heart profession.

Dune

Just goes to show you know is a villain. Even the intermediaries are just doing their job the best they can to get a good product but as we see with a lot of anime in the past that doesn't always happen.

Mario Prime Plays

I’d argue it’s the more interesting part of this show. Not saying Aqua’s mystery revenge plot isn’t interesting, just the deep dive into the entertainment industry is more interesting. Wish there was a Hollywood version.

Just wanna say I love the format of this double drop of having the intro and outro discussions. I know you guys leave it out for YouTube interaction, but I do prefer having it all in one video like this. So having this being patreon only is a nice treat for us lol.

If you don’t like the past lives. I don’t think you’ll like the rest of the series. It’s gonna be a side comment from yall every time. Ppl like the show how it is.

We actually leave it out because Patreon gives us limited hours to upload directly to them. We actually have to request more space soon lol. Also we have editors handling the YouTube edits and we handle the uncuts. Faster for us to cut it out than going through it and chopping up the pauses and stuff especially if the YouTube version has that part edited already. 🤣 I understand you like it better this way but hopefully that gives you insight on why we do it like this 😭 -Sam
