Not only does the ending change who's walking on the beach, but the voice actor singing the outro changes as well.

It was mentioned in the first episode that Sakuta and Kaede’s Mom couldn’t handle the bullying situation so she left. We didn’t get the details of what “couldn’t handle” meant but it can’t be good. I’m assuming the father went with her since I don’t think he was mentioned or maybe he passed away. Regardless, they’re alone and Kaede makes me feel for her :( she needs therapy bad

I noticed that in anime they often describe how their name is spelt. I think depending on the meaning of their name that the symbols (and therefore the spelling as well) are perhaps different?
