The anime is actually changing a few things about the japanese hunters bc they were a lot more ruthless and “evil” in the manwha but ofc they don’t want to be seen as that in the anime so they toned it down and cut some stuff

HollowedSlayer

Wasn't it also more Goto's idea to abandon the Korean hunters in the manwha?

As far as they're aware, the monsters don't have intelligence, or understand their language, they aren't even aware that they can speak. So when viewers get upset about them mentioning their healer, that's not something they'd consider. Actually, the King Ant just detected the healer here, he still couldn't understand their language until after he consumed the healer's head.

NvR Carnage

That was a great episode I’ll give you some context, he ate the queen’s head to gain her memories so that’s why he went after hunter Cha first, then he ate the healers head to communicate with the hunters

NvR Carnage

Goto’s plan was to abandon the Korean hunters from the jump, manhwa’s usually make out Japan to be slimy and underhanded but this is being adapted by a Japanese studio so they watered it down

MESHA

It was more of a collective plan but goto wanted it more

Devi

:3

Maplecakes

Props to them actually going through with Japan being the antagonist and betraying Korea, I was wondering if they were going to adapt it as is or change it up in some way

Aleister Crowley

"Where's your king?" "He's chilling at home"- Beak

Nolan L Thomas

The next episode is about to be nuts.

ThatguyBri

Man, first my whole family goes to Japan without me and now yall 😭 the envy is so strong. Happy to still be getting content though

Juan

‘Heh stupid ant, good thing our healers got our back. You cant see him cuz he’s using camouflage. You dimwitted ant can’t tell he’s actually standing right there, a little to your left’ 😏

Nardoc

"Why didn't he kill them though?" Plot. Lol

thereactpack

Ahhhh to solidify that they killed her -Morgan

Sekraan

There's a separate version made for broadcast in Japan that localizes the setting and all the characters to Japan. It's kind of silly, but Japan and Korea aren't the friendliest of neighbors and I suppose the anime would fare poorly if they left as is.

NvR Carnage

He was planning on torturing them that’s why
