YESSSS!!

I really enjoy the framing of this one. We get a look through Nukumizu's eyes into the drama and comedy of failing relationships, without the stakes of a "main" relationship (yet). And the animation is gorgeous for no apparent reason.

Mario Prime Plays

One things for sure A-1 Pictures is going to guarantee a beautiful looking anime. This one’s story is pretty fun too.

Lemon's voice actress is Shion Wakayama, the same actress who voices Momo Ayase in Dandadan. Also, in the light novel, it's mentioned that Karen and Sousuke sang a song from Frozen at karaoke — specifically the duet Anna and Hans sing.

This is the perfect series to watch with you guys so far. The art is so pretty and the idea is funny.

Man I love this show so much. The animation quality is excellent because Makeine was made by the same production team at A-1 that did Kaguya-sama Love is War. But the best part about this show is the writing imo. For a romcom MC Nukumizu is built different (derogatory). He doesn’t sit in the back of the class by the windows outside, where Souske (the MC of his own romance story that happened offscreen) and love interest Karen sit. Nukumizu sits by the door to the hallway. And his seat is taken. Nuku is such an NPC his own teacher doesn’t recognize him. And this detail is lost in translation but the names on this show are meaningful in Japanese. Nukumizu translates to warm (nuku) and water (mizu). “Warm water” or In other words with tepid, unenthusiastic, indifferent, boring. His first name Kazuhiko translates to "calm" "to get along" (kazu) and "a man of virtue" (hiko). But if you split apart hi and ko, you can get kazu hi ko, or roughly “number of expenses child”. Which might explain his whole deal with Anna. You all are gonna have a blast.

Same studio as Solo Leveling talk about a genre shift lol

Sekraan

They even drop some Kaguya-sama easter eggs in the background in one episode.
