I'm sorry, the moment between Azuma and his brother was cute and all but if I was Azuma, I would've still been a little heated 😅 Cause he's stressing and the brother's only problem is not being good at monster hunters, and then he had the audacity to tell him the pancakes didn't even taste good, knowing Azuma never even got to try it for himself is crazy 🤣🤣

Nice tagline. Whoever came up with it cooked. I too, felt like I was holding my breath all episode. But I been doing that since we started this series. I’m in agreement, Sam. The art direction of this series is really good. The moment between Azuma and Junya was wonderfully crafted.

To be fair, I don't think his brother would've exactly knew what he was dealing with. He probably thought he was just stressing out over actual kid worries like his grades and their overbearing mom, instead of something insane like covering up a murder lol. Also I interpreted the pancake part as just Junya trying to take off the burden of expectations and wanting to please their mother from Naoki. I took it as him more trying to say that his brother is worth more than that, that those pancakes were never worth chasing after, and he's already great as is with trying his best at school.

His brother knew what he was dealing with. I’m not referring to the murder part btw. I’m talking about the part where he told his brother that he wouldn’t understand him because he’s all people look at and he’s more competent than him. His brother responded by saying he’s not good at Monster hunters. 🤣 like wtf. What if Azuma is also not good at monster hunters? That means his brother is still beating him at everything 😭 That personally wouldn’t make me feel better. He only names one thing he isn’t good at and it isn’t even something important. Also, with the pancakes, Azuma never even got to try them for himself. Maybe they would’ve tasted better to him. Different taste buds and all, but he never got to try it. The conversation was sweet and all but I’m just saying, in real life, if this was me, I would’ve liked my brother a little bit more but still would be irritated because he’s still better than me and gets everything.

Yeah, coming from neglect and abuse i dont think she really understands what's she's doing. But the cycle of abuse, is the point I think. Shizuka, marina, and azuma all aren't villains or bad people, inherently. But each of their circumstance leads them to harm others in the way they themselves were harmed. To mirror the abuse of their home life. Hurt people hurt people...
