To clarify, Koenji didn't answer any questions in the math test. He vocally said the answer after the test was over just to brag. It was cool though, ngl. Ayanokoji answered the last question using captain's rule, so did Sakayanagi. None of the other participants actually answered it correctly.

It's not explained in the anime, but the teachers were looking out for the students behind the scenes. The whole reason the Vote test included a protection point system was because the teachers protested the concept of voting people into expulsion (new chairman's plan to expel Ayanokoji). So as a compromise, they added the protection point to make it somewhat fair.

I play a small bit of chess however i don't know how any of them fancy moves or formations work. How did they place a pawn in front of another pawn without taking anything?

Had to look this up didn't know you can take like that, that's really cool. But it still wasn't that he just moved a white pawn in front of another white pawn with nothing to take. Its as if he picked up a pawn and straight up moved diagonally. anyway imma stop nitpicking lol.

They are class D but it's fairly close between the lowest 3 classes. They are closer to Class B's point total than ever before. Also, there was a post credit scene in episode 11.

There was no "En Passant" shown in this game. What you saw was the white pawn taking the black queen that sacrificed itslef by taking the black knight one move prior. It just didn't show the queen been captured. That's why it looked wired seeing the pawn going diagonal without any piece "being taken".
