I agree. The pacing could have been better for sure but reading it all back to back is a lot better than what I remember. The authors health issues and the monthly release schedule didn’t help.

And she doesn’t really hate her but she doesn’t know how to cope with her feelings and she’s pushing her feelings to the side like she felt she had to do with manga and anime. So far every character in the show seems to be very wholesome and at this point Gojo knows what Akira’s “problem” with Marin is so I doubt it’s something negative/bad if he’s still hanging out with her. I think you guys are right that Akira is probably a fangirl and doesn’t know how to handle the situation with Marin. Her mother made her repress all the positive feelings associated with Manga/Anime so maybe she still feels guilty about certain aspects of her hobby?

The negative vibes from the parents about anime and manga reminds me of a friend from years who was heavily into Universal monsters like Frankenstein and Dracula - he had posters , model kits and all sorts of memorabilia. He once returned home from a weekend away to find all of his stuff in a heap in the back yard , and on fire - his mother was burning it all .
